The Challenge

All too often, low-income students find themselves unable to complete two- and four- year degrees due to cost, a lack of relevance in academic programs, or inadequate preparation for college-level courses.

The Solution

NGLC grantees Match Beyond and College for America are teaming up to combine competency-based degree programs with intensive coaching, academic support, and jobs counseling. The goal of the program is to achieve high degree completion rates and employment for low-income high school graduates.

Match Beyond has a long history of successful one-on-one and small group tutoring for low-income students. College for America offers affordable tuition costs and a degree program that’s designed to lead to employment. Together the programs will help to increase degree completion rates and find employment for low-income high school graduates.
